Montreal Canadiens goaltending prospect Zachary Fucale will once again be dressing for his country on the international stage, as Hockey Canada unveiled its roster for the upcoming Spengler Cup.

Fucale has spent the majority of this season with the Brampton Beast of the ECHL, where he has steadily improved his play throughout the season after a shaky start. This follows a tough rookie season with the St. John’s IceCaps in the American Hockey League the season prior.
In 17 games so far this season with the Beast, Fucale has 11 wins, helping the team to their best month in franchise history this December, with a .923 save percentage in nine games.
Another Montreal Canadiens connection on Team Canada is former 2003 sixth-round draft pick Mark Flood. He never played for the organization, but did play regularly in the AHL and found limited success in the NHL playing for the Winnipeg Jets in 2011-12 before moving overseas to play in the KHL. Currently he is playing in Austria for Salzburg EC.
Fans will recognize some other familiar names, as Maxim Lapierre will be representing HC Lugano, while Ben Scrivens and Sergei Kostitsyn will be playing for HK Dinamo Minsk.
