With the dust still settling from the massive trade for Jonathan Drouin, Marc Bergevin re-signed a key restricted free agent: Charles Hudon.

Hudon has been the Habs’ most productive prospect over the last three years in the American Hockey League. Not only has he been a scoring leader on his teams, but among the best in the AHL year in and year out as well.
This past season ihe tallied 27 goals and 22 assists in 56 games, in addition to two assists in three NHL games. In his short NHL tour of duty he’s collected four points in six games, and hasn’t looked out of place on the Habs roster. Whether he’ll be protected in the expansion draft is unknown, but with a two year deal as opposed to just a single year, it’s not crazy to think that Hudon may finally be getting a long overdue opportunity in the NHL this season.
The deal pays $650,000 per year, with the first year being a two-way deal, while the second is a one-way deal.
2 ans pour Charles Hudon / 650 000$ moyenne par saison. Première saison à deux volets. La deuxième un volet. #tvasports
