Alex Galchenyuk’s girlfriend, Chanel Leszczynski, was arrested Sunday morning in a domestic dispute.

Selon les informations recueillies par La Presse de plusieurs sources bien au courant du dossier, Mme Leszczynski s’est présentée dimanche matin chez M. Galchenyuk, au lendemain de la défaite de 3-1 du Canadien contre les Penguins de Pittsburgh. Le hockeyeur, qui habite un appartement situé dans un hôtel de la rue Sherbrooke Ouest, était chez lui avec d’autres personnes, dont son coéquipier du Canadien Devante Smith-Pelley.
Pour une raison inconnue, une dispute aurait alors dégénéré. L’appel au 9-1-1 a été fait par des invités du jeune athlète vers 8 h dimanche.

The hockey player, who lives in an apartment situated in a hotel on Sherbrooke West, was home with several other people, including Devante Smith-Pelly.
For an unknown reason, a dispute took place. The 9-11 call was made by friends of the young athlete on Sunday morning towards 8 am.
Galchenyuk decided not to press any charges, but domestic violence cases are automatically transferred to the prosecutor for further review.
There are no other official details available, but hopefully Alex Galchenyuk gets the help he needs to better his current living situation.
Galchenyuk and Smith-Pelly will have a meeting with Marc Bergevin following practice.
