P.K. Subban released from hospital

The Montreal Canadiens announced that defenceman P.K. Subban was released from hospital late last night after “comprehensive” tests.

He did indeed have a neck injury but it is not considered serious.

Subban went down awkwardly in last night’s game against the Buffalo Sabres. His head went into the leg of Alexei Emelin and he immediately put his hands up to his neck. He laid on his back while the medical team attended to him and was taken off on a stretcher.

Subban was honoured with the Jean Beliveau award for his work in the community prior to the game. As he was leaving the ice, he gave a thumbs up to the fans.

It is still not known when he will be able to return to the lineup, but the great news is the severity of the injury and that he is at home.
