Our Price Photo Winner and Other Habs Links

Congratulations to Todd Marsolais of Long Sault, Ontario, winner of our Like Us/Follow Us contest. Todd who wins an autographed 8×10 photo of Canadiens goalie Carey Price!

Don’t sweat it Habs fans, as we will have another contest for our Facebook and Twitter followers in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, the Canadiens were back at practice today in Brossard, learning from their mistakes in Thursday’s season-opening loss to the Toronto Leafs.

Price did not practice Thursday, and Mike Cammalleri skated briefly. Some good news is that Lars Eller did get the doctors OK fro practice and practiced on a line with Erik Cole and Tomas Plekanec.

The Canadiens also signed defenseman Joe Callahan to a one-year, two-way contract. Callahan will likely fill the void in the Hamilton Bulldogs roster, after Jeff Woywitka was claimed off waivers, but could be pressed into NHL action with the recent injury to Chris Campoli.

NHL.com experts make their predictions, with one predicting the Habs to win the Eastern Conference behind the Conn Smythe goaltending of Carey Price, but falling to the Vancouver Canucks.

Another prediction, from CJAD’s Abe Hefter, has the Habs finishing seventh.

Week One Power Rankings from CBC put the Habs  at No. 16.
