Nick Suzuki named to NHL All-Star team

Just before tonight’s return to the Bell Centre against the Buffalo Sabres, Sportsnet reported the forwards who have been named to the NHL Eastern Conference team. To little surprise, there weren’t many Montreal Canadiens named to the team.

Except, of course, their captain Nick Suzuki.

He joins a rather stacked group from the conference, with some of the best players in the world making up the rest of the roster. This will be the third year in a row where Suzuki will represent the Canadiens for the weekend, having been in both 2022 and 2023.

Suzuki is clocking in just a shade under a point-per-game this season, with 34 points through 37 games heading into tonight’s contest. He’s on pace for a career year, and could potentially add to his totals before the night is over.
