After a long wait, we finally have an official date. The first PWHL game in Montreal will be held January 13 at the Verdun Auditorium when they start their rivalry against Boston.

Puck drop will be at 3:30 p.m. All PWHL teams announced their home openers on social media. It would appear Montreal’s first game in franchise history will be in Ottawa on January 2 at 7:00 p.m. It is fitting, of course, as the Montreal Canadiens played their first NHL game in Ottawa back in 1917.

Montreal will also be playing in Minnesota in their home opener at the Xcel Energy Centre on January 6.

The first game in PWHL history will be New York at Toronto on January 1 at 12:30 p.m.

The rest of the schedule is expected to be released soon with the rest of the dates of all 24 games for each team in the league’s first season.
