Canadiens vs. Flyers third period thread

The Habs killed off the Flyers‘ carried-over powerplay time and then went to a powerplay of their own a couple of minutes later. There’s no use describing the Canadiens‘ powerplay.

The penalty kill on the other hand looked very good in the second period, killing off two more Flyers’ man advantages.

This is the definition of a grinder’s game. I looked up some synonyms for “grind”:

chore, drudgery, labor, toil, treadmill

Antonyms for grind are:

fun, entertainment

I guess it’s clear what angle the Habs are going for tonight in hopes of putting a stop to their three-game losing streak. The Habs got the crowd going at the end of the second with some surprise chances, and drew a penalty on the play. The Habs will have 1:37 of powerplay time to start the third period.

RDS reported that Tom Gilbert went to the dressing room during the second period with injury. There is sure to be an update on his status during the third period.
