Montreal Canadiens to open 2023-24 season in Toronto on October 11

The Montreal Canadiens will open their 2023-24 regular season in Toronto on October 11 as the NHL has announced the league’s schedule for next season.

The team’s home opener comes a few days later on October 14 when they will host the Chicago Blackhawks and the #1 overall pick, likely Connor Bedard. Six of their nine October games will be at home.

Their annual holiday road trip, which was scrutinized by Geoff Molson and others last season, will last seven games from December 18 to January 2 and see them go to Winnipeg, Minnesota, Chicago, Carolina, Florida, Tampa Bay, and ending in Dallas.

The annual Super Bowl matinee weekend will see them host the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues on February 10 and 11.

The season will end on April 16 with a home game against the Detroit Red Wings, which is the second game of a home-and-home series on back-to-back days.
