Montreal Canadiens return Cayden Primeau, Corey Schueneman to the Laval Rocket

With the Laval Rocket getting ready for their most important game of the season, a true four-point game with the Cleveland Monsters Friday at Place Bell in Laval, the Montreal Canadiens sent goaltender Cayden Primeau and defender Corey Schueneman to the AHL.

Both are expected to play in Friday’s big contest. Primeau should be expected to start after Samuel Montembeault played for the Canadiens against the Washington Capitals on Thursday. Primeau played on Tuesday in the loss against the Detroit Red Wings and was the backup on Thursday. Schueneman played in both games this week.

The Rocket are currently one point up on Cleveland for the final playoff spot in the AHL’s North Division with the Monsters holding one game in hand. A regulation win for either team will do a lot for either team’s playoff chances. The Rocket have five games remaining including Friday’s game.
