After the Northeastern University Huskies were eliminated in the Hockey East tournament 4-1 at the hands of the University of Massachusetts, the clock started ticking in regards to assistant captain Jordan Harris.
In the end, the Montreal Canadiens announced that Harris will remain in school for his fourth and final NCAA season.

“After discussions between the organization, Jordan and members of his family, it was agreed that this is the right course of action for his development. The organization is fully supportive of this plan. Jordan remains totally committed to the Montreal Canadiens for the future,” the press release said.
In addition to compiling six goals and 13 assists in a 19-game shortened season, Harris also made the long list for the Hobey Baker, the NCAA’s most prestigious award. In 91 career NCAA games, he had 10 goals and 43 assists.
The 20-year-old left-handed defenceman was taken in the third round (71st overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft. He would become the fifth player from that draft class to sign his NHL entry-level contract, joining Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Jesse Ylönen, Alexander Romanov, and Cam Hillis. Jacob Olofsson, Jack Gorniak, and Brett Stapley also still remain Canadiens prospects from that class.
