Christian Dvorak out indefinitely with an upper-body injury

Ahead of their game versus the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Montreal Canadiens announced that centre Christian Dvorak was out with an upper-body injury, and would need to undergo further tests.

Having sent Emil Heineman back to the AHL before this current road trip, the Canadiens do not have an extra forward on the roster, so today’s game will be played with 11 forwards and seven defencemen as Johnny Kovacevic re-enters the lineup after a couple of matches as a healthy scratch.

It’s not an ideal situation to be in for the second game of a back-to-back, and Martin St-Louis will need to try to balance the minutes for his players tonight. The Canadiens will be looking for their first victory on this four-game road trip through the southern U.S.
