Montreal Canadiens assign 14 players to Laval Rocket training camp

The Montreal Canadiens announced that 14 players were cut from training camp and will join the Laval Rocket.

The following players will be present at Place Bell for the start of the Laval Rocket training camp.

The Canadiens now have 41 players left at camp after starting with 57, however Noah Juulsen and Gustav Olofsson are injured, and are out for an indeterminate amount of time. The Canadiens had already released tryout Liam Hawel and Junior-aged Ganni Fairbrother from training camp earlier in the week.

The Laval Rocket play two pre-season games on September 28 and 29 against the Belleville Senators at the Place Bell. Both games are in the afternoon and are at capacity as the Rocket offered free tickets to the public.

The team also announced that Ryan Poehling has a concussion and out indefinitely. He took a hit from Dryden Hunt in Bathurst, New Brunswick on Wednesday and hit his head on the glass. He continued playing the remainder of the game, and had the game-winning assist.

Michael McCarron is out six weeks with a groin injury, the team also announced.
