Michael McNiven was an emergency recall from the AHL’s Laval Rocket after Carey Price was sidelined with a lingering lower-body injury. With Price set to return, coming off of the Injured Reserve list today, McNiven was returned to the Rocket.

He didn’t see any NHL action in the three games he was on the Habs’ roster, but he did get to practise with the Canadiens and got a small taste of life at the top level. It’s an experience he take back with him to the minor leagues.
With Charlie Lindgren still injured, McNiven will reprise his role as Laval’s starting netminder. The Rocket play tonight at home versus the Belleville Senators.
