The Laval Rocket have officially announced that their AHL training camp will start on Monday, September 24, as the Joël Bouchard era at the helm of the Montreal Canadiens farm team prepares to launch.

Several notable players who will eventually make their way to Laval remain on the Canadiens’ training camp roster that started at 67 players and currently sits at 43. This list includes likely starting goaltender Charlie Lindgren and Czech rookie defencemen Michal Moravcik and David Sklenicka.
No waiver-eligible players likely destined for Laval have been cut from Canadiens camp as of yet, including former AHL scoring champion Kenny Agostino, Michael Chaput, Byron Froese, Hunter Shinkaruk, Matt Taormina, and Rinat Valiev.
Hayden Verbeek is injured, but will likely join the Rocket once cleared.
Nick Suzuki is not eligible for the AHL this season if he is cut from the Canadiens.

The Laval Rocket will have four days of practice before they head to Belleville for two pre-season games against the Senators on Friday, September 28 and Saturday, September 29. Both games will be broadcast on 91.9 Sports in French and probably Belleville’s CJBQ 800 AM. Look for both stations on TuneIn or other online radio streaming service if you’re outside of their terrestrial broadcasting ranges.
The Rocket play their first game of the season on October 6 against Kenny Agostino’s former team, the Providence Bruins.
