A short while ago, it was reported that the Canadiens were ‘aggressively’ pursuing a trade for Jonathan Drouin. Tonight, the Syracuse Crunch are taking on the Utica Comets with Drouin in the lineup, and the Canadiens have sent one of their big guns to have a look at him.
Teams listed in on press box sheet for Drouin watch: Mowers, Mtl, Dudley, Mtl, Fitzpatrick, Phil, Rowe, SJ, Paterson, Ana, Patrick, Wash.

Sending Rick Dudley to scout him is one thing, and it means that they’re taking it seriously. We also know that Marc Bergevin is getting active in the trade market after the Jarred Tinordi trade today. If that wasn’t enough to get fans thinking that a deal could be imminent, Brian Wilde dropped a bit of a bomb on twitter shortly thereafter.
HABS DROUIN TRADE UPDATE Multiple offers have been tabled from both sides. Common ground not yet reached. Negotiations continue.

There is no confirmation on what exactly was offered from either side, but it sounds like things are definitely heating up. As to whether or not we’ll be seeing Drouin in a Canadiens uniform any time soon, we’ll just have to wait and see what the future brings.
