Montreal Canadiens Links
- P-A Parenteau joined Geno Reda on TSN to discuss his upcoming hometown debut.
- Jiri Sekac impressed during the Octagon Hockey Camp, displaying skill and hard work.
- Is Sekac going to be the talk of the town in Montreal after the 2014-2015 season? The Czech forward sure hopes to prove his doubters wrong. At 22, Sekac is now coming back to North America after being undrafted and unable to find a contract based on his junior North American career. But is he a different player now after three seasons in the KHL?
- Brendan Gallagher spoke to Team 1040, discussing PK Subban, the vacant captaincy, and Milan Lucic.
- According to Don Meehan, the agent for PK Subban and Francis Bouillon, the Habs and Bouillon are still working on a one-year deal. This will not make my boss Andrew Berkshire happy!
Around the NHL
- Check out today’s NHL 30-in-30 team: Arizona Coyotes That’s right, their name has changed from Phoenix to Arizona. That apparently will generate more fans for them, because you know the folks in Tucson are really pissed about not having a hockey team to call their own and have been revolting against the Coyotes by not driving the 1 hour and 43 minutes to go to a game because their name was Phoenix and not Arizona. All is well now though, they will be flocking from all over the state to get to a game now!
- Corey Sarich looks to be coming along well since his near death cycling accident his summer. I know the thoughts and prayers of the hockey community are with him and his family.
- With the above mentioned Fantasy Hockey season notice, it’s never too early to start checking out the “Sleepers”!
- The NHL is somewhat denying the expansion rumors and reports hat have been circulating over the last 24 hours. Do you believe the NHL? Nah, me either! Is it going to be Vegas and Seattle? Will there be a team in the East moving cities too?
