With Brendan Gallagher’s neutral-zone pass behind him, Tomas Tatar had to blindly throw his stick at the puck, knocking it down in stride. He gained control just as he hit the blue line, crossing legally, and then shot the puck just off the glove of Tuukka Rask before the goaltender could properly react.
