Hamilton Bulldogs Weekly Report: Charles Hudon first in AHL rookie scoring

Bulldogs Player of the Week: Charles Hudon

In what is becoming a regular trend, Charles Hudon once again takes home player-of-the-week honors after notching three points in two games. Hudon got two points Friday night in Cleveland with a pair of assists, the first coming on T.J. Hensick’s fourth goal of the year. He also registered a point on Magnus Nygren’s powerplay goal late in the second period; however the Bulldogs would fall 4-2.

The following night in Hamilton, Hudon would yet again play the hero role, as he converted a Nathan Beaulieu pass into a game winning goal. The goal was part of a three-goal run for Hamilton, who were trailing 3-1 early on in the game. With his latest multipoint weekend Hudon is now tied for fifth in the AHL scoring race and also stands alone atop the rookie scoring charts.
