Hamilton Bulldogs Training Camp: Day 4

After fitness testing and dividing up the roster into two teams, the Hamilton Bulldogs training camp begins in earnest today with a scrimmage between the red and white teams.

Marc-Antoine Godin of La Presse has tweeted some updates to the rosters today, including:

Translated: Absent from the intra-squad Bulldogs game today are Morgan Ellis (lower body), Mike Blunden (eye), and Aaron Palushaj (unknown).

Translated: The forward lines for white are Michael Bournival – Steven Qualier – Brendan Gallagher, Joonas NattinenStefan ChaputAlain Berger, Brendan Randford – Bobby Farnham – Ian Schultz, Spencer Bennett – Zack Torquato – Kyle Rank.

Translated: The forward lines for red are Michel OuelletBlake GeoffrionLouis Leblanc, Olivier Fortier – Stephan MacAualey – Patrick Holland, Kyle HagelGabriel DumontZack Stortini, with Philippe Lefebvre and Alexander Avstin rotating.

Godin also commented on the intensity of camp:

Translated: Some NHL players wait for the end of training camp to press on the gas. At Bulldogs camp, nobody waits.

  • Brendan Nash scores on a point shot to put Team White up 2-0
  • Blake Geoffrion tips a Jarred Tinordi shot to give Team Red their first goal, White leads 2-1
  • Stefan Chaput gets it right back, White regaining their 2 goal lead, 3-1
  • Geoffrion sets up Kyle Rank for an empty, putting Team White in a commanding 4-1 lead/
