Hamilton Bulldogs Game Thread: Bulldogs @ Monsters

After a good performance last night by the Bulldogs, specifically by Gabriel Dumont, they travel down to Cleveland to take on the Lake Erie Monsters. The Bulldogs snapped their losing streak last night, and look to begin a winning streak against the Monsters. The Bulldogs beat the Monsters 1-0 earlier in December, the last meeting between the clubs. This is the third of eight meetings.

The Monsters (15-14-2-1) are coming into tonight’s game after dropping back to back games against the Rochester Americans. Mike Sgarbossa leads the team in scoring, with 12 goals, 15 assists in 31 GP. Another player to watch is Andrew Agozzino, who has 11 goals, 14 assists in his rookie season.

The Bulldogs (11-15-1-2) come into tonight fresh off their 6-3 win over the Ice Caps. The Bulldogs need to build on their strong performance and string together some wins. The Bulldogs scored 2 goals on the power play, so hopefully they can build on that and finally get a somewhat consistent power play effort.

Sylvain Lefebvre usually doesn’t change a winning line-up, so expect to see Alexander Avtsin in once again tonight. He had an assist on Louis Leblanc’s goal after dangling around the defenseman. In goal, I would expect Cedrick Desjardins to get the nod against his former team.

The puck drops at 7:30 pm, and as always, you can watch it live on AHLLive ($), or listen to it here.
