Habsent Minded Episode 17: Oh captain, my captain

The Montreal Canadiens had some news early this week as they placed Karl Alzner on waivers and officially announced that Shea Weber would be making his season debut on Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes.

It was a full house on Habsent Minded this week, as Namiko Hitotsubashi, Patrik Bexell, and Scott Matla joined Jared Book to discuss the events, what’s next for Alzner, how Weber will affect the Canadiens, and more.

The panel then talks about Les Canadiennes, who had their coach Dany Brunet – who just so happens to be the coach with the most wins in CWHL history – step down. What does it mean, and who will replace him?

Then the Laval Rocket become the topic of conversation as they look at how the Canadiens’ injury troubles have a trickle down effect on the AHL team.
