Habsent Minded Episode 19: Thinking outside the box

The Montreal Canadiens took to the ice and had an up and down week, but it ended with a high note and another 5-2 win against the Ottawa Senators. The big story in that one was the embellishment call on Artturi Lehkonen that cost the Canadiens a goal.

Jared Book, Patrik Bexell and Scott Matla are joined by Julian McKenzie, making his Habsent Minded debut. The four discuss the Ottawa game, what it means going forward, and they also talk about how to fix the Habs’ power play.

Les Canadiennes became the first CWHL team to sweep all the games in China against the Shenzhen KRS Vanke Rays, led by Ann-Sophie Bettez.

The Canadiennes become a discussion point towards the power play as well as the hosts talk about whether the Habs could learn from their sister team and that leads to a discussion on NHL hiring practices and how teams should be looking outside the NHL for coaching and management talent.
