Dominique Ducharme should be back behind the bench for Game 3 of Stanley Cup Final

Speaking to the media, Dominique Ducharme informed reporters that he is recovering well from his COVID-19 diagnosis, and should be able to return to the bench by Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, the first match of the series to be played at the Bell Centre.

Ducharme contracted the coronavirus around the time the Montreal Canadiens travelled to Las Vegas for the opening games of the Stanley Cup Semifinal, and has been away from the team since getting a positive result back in Mnntreal. He watched the team go on to win that series in six games, winning three of the next four while he was forced into isolation, with Luke Richardson standing in in his place.

The coach was offering his thoughts and advice all throughout the process, and will be doing the same as the Canadiens begin the final round of the post-season. He will be doing his best to ensure the team has earned at least a split in Tampa Bay by the time he and the team return to the Bell Centre on July 2.
