After a career year in the NCAA, scoring 26 goals and 26 assists in 40 games, along with making his professional debut with the Hamilton Bulldogs, netting 3 assists in 9 games, Danny Kristo wasn’t called up to the big club for the playoffs.
Instead he will be traveling to Scandinavia to play for Team USA in the upcoming Men’s World Hockey Championships beginning on May 3rd, 2013.
The tournament is hosted by both Sweden and Finland, taking place in Stockholm and Helsinki.
Kristo last represented the USA in the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships, where his team ended Canada’s run of 5 straight gold medals with an overtime goal by John Carlson. Kristo was a star for the Americans in the tournament with 5 goals and 3 assists in 7 games.
