The Habs overall looked much better in that period than they have in the last 6 games. After Francis Bouillon decided to remind us all why we hate his contract extension, the Canadiens collapsed once again and allowed the Jets to take it to them, but it didn’t last.
Instead of feeling sorry for themselves for a period, Montreal managed to take back the puck possession game to the tune of 63.6% in Fenwick, and 64.5% in Corsi.
Carey Price also made several big stops in the first.
