With their first pick of the fifth round in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, the Montreal Canadiens selected Cole Fonstad at 128th overall.
The forward, listed as both a centre and left wing, had 21 goals and 52 assists for the WHL’s Prince Albert Raiders last year in 72 games, adding more playmaking skill to the Canadiens’ draft haul.
