The Montreal Canadiens organization currently features prospects playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), the Western Hockey League (WHL), the USHL (United States Hockey League), and the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association). These leagues can be considered the primary conduit towards professional hockey in North America.
Here’s how the players in the aforementioned leagues performed from February 29 to March 6:

Jeremiah Addison
The Ottawa 67’s forward contributed five points to his team’s cause, hitting the scoresheet in all four games played. Launching 12 shots on goal, two of them found their way past opposing goaltenders to increase his season total to 26. That ranks him second on his team in that category (a ranking he also holds in the penalty-minute column), and places him 30th overall in the OHL goal-scoring race.
Addison’s best performance came in Friday’s contest versus the Guelph Storm, in which he scored a goal and added an assist as Ottawa clinched a playoff berth with a 6-2 victory.
Daniel Audette
Coming off a promising season, Audette’s offensive game hasn’t improved in his final year of junior hockey, currently scoring below the pace at which he finished a 60-game campaign in 2014-15. He did manage a point in each of this weekend’s outings, but ranks 26th in points per game this QMJHL season, which is less than expected of the overage playmaking forward.
Simon Bourque
Bourque remains a steady performer on the Rimouski Oceanic blue line, chipping in another two assists in three games. The captain has a commanding lead in the goal-scoring race among defencemen on his team, and ranks seventh among defenders in the entire QMJHL; just two points behind the Matt Murphy in fourth.
Matt Bradley
Bradley had a quiet start to the season, with just 11 points in the first two months. He has picked things up since, now with a total of 47, and has 10 points in his last seven games.
The Medicine Hat Tigers forward put on a great performance, scoring one goal and two assists in a 3-0 win over the Kootenay Ice before adding another two points in his next game versus the Edmonton Oil Kings. Bradley was named first star in both games.
Jake Evans
Evans’ Notre Dame enjoyed a bye in the Hockey East playoffs after finishing third in the standings. The team will be back in action this weekend when they host Northeastern University in a best-of-three quarter-final.
The sophomore is tied for the team lead in points, with 32, and his count of 24 assists is the highest of any Notre Dame skater.
Noah Juulsen
With the Everett Silvertips managing just four goals in two games played — both losses — there was very little offence from the 2015 first-rounder, finishing with a stat line of one assist and a plus-one goal differential.
With the point, Juulsen is now halfway to the total he accrued in 68 games during his draft year.
Nikolas Koberstein
The regular season is done for the University of Alaska Fairbanks, and through 23 games, Koberstein managed one goal and one assist — both coming in the same game versus Bemidji State on January 2.
UAF played a derby with the University of Alaska Anchorage over the weekend, but Koberstein did not dress for either of the two games. With a tough WCHA playoff matchup against the top-seeded Michigan Tech, he may not be called upon to participate in the best-of-three series that gets underway on March 11th, either.
Hayden Hawkey
Providence College’s starter, Nick Ellis, was named the NCAA’s Hockey East player of the month after propelling the squad to a second-place finish in that grouping (one spot above Evans’ Notre Dame), so it is unlikely that Hawkey will get a start when the playoffs begin this weekend.
Given the quick turnaround in a best-of-three series set to be played over three days from March 11-13, he may get some spot duty versus Merrimack College at any sign of a falter from his team.
Michael McNiven
McNiven started off well, allowing just three goals on 45 shots through his first two games. Sitting out the middle of three games played on consecutive nights, he didn’t fare so well in Owen Sound’s last game of the week, getting beaten four times on 24 shots in a 5-3 loss to the Barrie Colts on Saturday.
He did backstop his team to a perfect 11-for-11 penalty kill in the three games he played, and now ranks fifth in the OHL in total saves, with 1257. His. .906 save percentage is good for 10th among OHL goaltenders.
