Carey Price has been named one of the finalists for the Vezina Trophy. Sergei Bobrovsky and Braden Holtby are the other finalists.

The Montreal Canadiens goaltender overcame his team’s rough stretch in the middle of the season to finish tied for third in save percentage among goalies to play at least 41 games.
After missing the majority of the 2015-16 season with a knee injury, Price picked up right where he’d left off, and was instrumental in pulling the club out of its funk in mid-February, and ultimately helping the Habs claim the Atlantic Division title.
Price has his name engraved on the Vezina Trophy already, receiving that honour in 2014-15 after an incredible year in which he put his team on his back and single-handedly carried it into the post-season. He claimed every other award a goaltender was eligible for that season as well: the Jennings Trophy, Ted Lindsay Award, and Hart Trophy.

His performance wasn’t quite at that level this season, and he had some stiffer competition from other netminders in the league. Joining Price in the running for the top goaltender award are Columbus Blue Jackets star Sergei Bobrovsky, who is likely considered the top candidate after finishing first in both save percentage and goals-against average, and Braden Holtby of the Washington Capitals.
