Canadiens vs. Senators Game Thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

As the preseason schedule rolls on, the Canadiens travel tonight for their first exhibition contest outside of the friendly confines of the Bell Centre. Thankfully, it’s not a long trip, as tonight’s opponent is Montreal’s closest geographical rival, the Ottawa Senators.

The Sens have earned three points through their first two preseason contests, putting up six goals on the Maple Leafs on Monday before falling in OT to the Buffalo Sabres. The Habs, for their part, will be looking to build on Tuesday’s win over the Capitals as they integrate a few veteran pieces back into their lineup.

Captain Max Pacioretty and veteran stalwart Tomas Plekanec will each make their preseason debut tonight after short stints at the World Cup of Hockey. We’ll also get a first look at Mikhail Sergachev, who looks set to pair with Mark Barberio to create what should be a dynamic duo.

Charlie Lindgren should get the second half of tonight’s game, looking to repeat the spectacular performance he put in on Monday after taking over for Mike Condon. And finally, Daniel Carr and Sven Andrighetto will each get another look this evening as the two wingers fight keep themselves in the conversation for what may be only one open roster spot on the big club to start the year.
