Canadiens vs. Rangers: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

The Montreal Canadiens wrap up a three-game homestand tonight before heading out on the road for the next four. The final visitor of their sequence at the Bell Centre will be the 3-6-2 New York Rangers.

The Canadiens should be able to take advantage of what has been one of the weakest defensive teams in the NHL so far, but that wasn’t the case in their first matchup with the Rangers this season, as they fell 2-0 to Henrik Lundqvist and co.

The netminder won’t get a chance to replicate that performance tonight as Ondrej Pavelec takes the crease for the second consecutive game after recording a victory over the Arizona Coyotes in his last outing.

For the Canadiens, the loss of Nikita Scherbak to injury means that Torrey Mitchell draws back into the lineup. He takes that spot over Jacob de la Rose.

Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EDT / 4:00 PM PDT
