It’s been nearly two full seasons now that the Montreal Canadiens‘ powerplay has been near the bottom of the NHL. With players like Tomas Plekanec, P.K. Subban, Andrei Markov, and Max Pacioretty on the roster, that’s hard to believe. So what’s the problem there? We investigate and discuss.
Over the last couple years, analysts have begun to notice a trend among Canadian NHL teams, they’re not getting any better, and most of them are getting worse. The Canadiens being the only playoff team among them last year shone a light on that, but the situation isn’t much better this year.
