Bottom Six Minutes Episode VI: Never say die

After extending their playoff series with an overtime thriller in game 5, the Montreal Canadiens took back to Bell Centre ice in front of a crowd of 2500 fans looking to do it again. Not only did they manage to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs, they managed to do it in overtime once again.

Welcome to your bottom six minutes for game 6.

The Habs managed to get some offensive output from their power play for the first time in the series. We’ll touch on how that happened, and how a horrible challenge from Sheldon Keefe facilitated it.

We’ll also have to touch on how this is the second game in a row where the Habs blew a lead in order to force the overtime period. Although their blown leads are something to be concerned over, the fact that they manage to come through in the clutch might just be more important.

And we’ll certainly have to shoehorn in some kind words for Carey Price, who had possibly his best game of the series in helping force the decisive game seven.

Click the play button below to have a listen, and thankfully we will be back after what should be a thrilling finale to this series.
