SCORING SUMMARY
1ST PERIOD

08:08 MTL C. ARMSTRONG (1) WRIST – ASST: NONE

PENALTY SUMMARY
1ST PERIOD

18:28 NJD DAVID CLARKSON : ROUGHING – 2 MIN (ALEXEI EMELIN)

It wasn’t the most eventful first period, but then again, COLBY ARMSTRONG SCORED A GOAL!!!! So it was very eventful indeed. Michael Blunden (!) provided the nice screen on Johan Hedberg as Montreal’s fourth line got the scoring started against New Jersey’s fourth line.

Both Carey Price and Hedberg made seven saves as Montreal outshot the Devils 8-7. A late powerplay by Montreal yielded a couple of Subban slapshots but nothing too dangerous.

Watching the Devils broadcast, they’re impressed by the physical game the Habs are bringing tonight, singling out Francis Bouillon and P.K. Subban in particular.

Jarred Tinordi has played a regular shift so far, with 4:54 of icetime to date paired with Bouillon. Subban leads the Habs with 8:23 of icetime and three shots on goal. Bryce Salvador leads the Devils with 8:12 in icetime, while Steve Bernier has two shots on goal to lead them. I know I’d rather have Subban leading in both those categories than who the Devils have. Suckas.

MOAR BLUNDEN IN PERIOD TWO. GO!
