For Artturi Lehkonen, it was very much a dream season in the SHL. He had a great regular season with Frolunda HC, and followed that up with a record-breaking playoff performance. His team rode that historic performance to a league title, so it was a well-deserved storybook ending.

Given the result of the Canadiens season, it has been pretty hard to find silver linings. Lehkonen has been just that, as the performance he put up throughout the season and in the playoffs is very encouraging. He does not yet have a contract with the Canadiens, but considering the way he has played, that might be changing sooner than later.
I’ll go out on a limb right now and say that Marc Bergevin should lock this kid down, because they sure could use some of his offensive abilities next season.
