A Hockey City Habs webcomic: Team vs. Fans

It seems like there’s a lot of bad blood between the fans and the organization right now. How could this happen to one of the greatest sports franchises in the world and one of the greatest fanbases in the world?

Well, what exactly makes the Habs one of the greatest sports franchises in the world? It seems like the glory days are long past, and the connection the organization has with the fans is rockier than ever. Maybe the organization is out of touch with itself too?

It does feel like management has built a buffer between fans and team… like the “us against them mentality” has thrust fan into the role of “them” and we have become the enemy… And in the middle of it, there’s a relationship that fans can never ever come between.

So what about us fans? Habs fans are some of the most passionate fans around, and might very well be the best hockey fans in the world. So is that true? Are Habs fans the best hockey fans in the world?

Can’t argue with that.
