2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Game 3: Carolina Hurricanes @ New Jersey Devils
CAR leads 2-0
How to watch

In the U.S.: TBS

Considering the quality of these teams – the second- and third-ranked clubs from the regular season – this second-round series has been a disappointment so far. Carolina has come to play with its relentless forechecking game, but the Devils have no answer. New Jersey has lost the opening two games by a combined 11-2 score and hasn’t looked competitive at any moment in the first 120 minutes. A return home will need to spark something in Lindy Ruff’s team or it’ll be conducting post-season interviews on Wednesday.
Game 3: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Florida Panthers
FLA leads 2-0
How to watch
Start time: 6:30 PM EDT / 3:30 PM PDT
In Canada: CBC, Sportsnet (English) TVA Sports (French)
In the U.S.: TBS
Streaming: ESPN+, Sportsnet Now
Toronto has at least had its moments in the other Eastern Conference division final, but the end result is the same: a 2-0 edge for the opponent. You could argue that that result is worse than New Jersey’s with the Maple Leafs’ two losses coming on home ice. The team that took 19 years to break a first-round curse now needs to win four of the remaining five games to extend that run any further.
Game 3: Dallas Stars @ Seattle Kraken
Series tied 1-1
How to watch
Start time: 9:30 PM EDT / 6:30 PM PDT
In Canada: Sportsnet (English) TVA Sports (French)
In the U.S.: TBS
Streaming: ESPN+, Sportsnet Now
The Stars bounced back after an opening overtime loss to take Game 2. But Seattle had already accomplished their goal of taking one of the games in Dallas to start their series, and return to Climate Pledge Arena looking to once again gain an edge in the seven-game set.
