The teams scored in twos in Game 1, with Toronto overcoming an 0-2 deficit just to surrender two more goals in a 4-2 loss. Once again the Maple Leafs have dropped home-ice advantage right off the bat, but that didn’t faze them in the opening round, and they’ll hope it’s not a bad omen for their second-round series.

Game 2: Dallas Stars vs. Seattle Kraken

SEA leads 1-0

How to watch

Start time: 9:30 PM EDT / 6:30 PM PDT
In Canada: CBC, Sportsnet (English) TVA Sports (French)
In the U.S.: TNT

Joe Pavelski scored four goals in his return from a concussion, and that still wasn’t enough for Dallas to come away with the series lead, falling in overtime to Seattle. You can expect a much better performance in net from Jake Oettinger this evening, so the Stars shouldn’t need such an incredible performance from their 38-year-old forward to get back on even terms.
