Group A Preliminary Games

6:15 AM ET: Russia vs Austria

Austria is coming off of a tough overtime loss to Switzerland yesterday and has an even tougher test today against Russia, who just happened to beat France 7-0 in their first game. Luckily for Austria, they got a point against Switzerland and every point is a positive for a team battling against relegation.

The game will be shown on TSN 1 in Canada.

10:15 AM ET: Sweden vs Czech Republic

Martin Necas scored with 10 seconds left in regulation to tie the game against Slovakia and Dimitri Jaskin scored in overtime to give the Czech Republic the win. Sweden is coming off of a big win against Belarus and will look to carry that momentum. These two teams will be safe from relegation, but positioning for the quarterfinal is always important.

The game will be shown on TSN 3 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

2:15 PM ET: Switzerland vs Slovakia

Slovakia is coming off of a heartbreaking loss to the Czech Republic, as mentioned above, and will look to bounce back against a Switzerland team that struggled against Austria. Nino Niederreiter had a goal and an assist on the overtime winner while former Canadien Sven Andrighetto had a game misconduct for kneeing.

The game will be shown on TSN 3 in Canada and NHL Network in the United States.

Group B Preliminary Games

6:15 AM ET: South Korea vs Canada

Canada will look to rebound against South Korea, and, let’s face it, they will win. Curtis McElhinney will get the start, and after Darcy Kuemper struggled in the shootout loss against the United States, will have every opportunity to take the starting job away. For Canada, it’s just time to prepare for the quarterfinals and this is the next step. South Korea and goaltender Matt Dalton struggled in an 8-1 loss to Finland.

The game will be on TSN 1/3 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

10:15 AM ET: Germany vs Norway

Germany played the host Denmark very tough, forcing them to a shootout before falling short. Leon Draisaitl had a goal and an assist and as he goes, this Germany team goes and they are never out of it with his abilities. Norway had a 2-0 lead over Latvia, but fell in a shootout as well. The winner of this game will likely earn a quarterfinal berth.

The game will be on TSN 4 in Canada.

2:15 PM ET: Latvia vs Finland

Latvia came from behind to defeat Norway 3-2 on Saturday and will now get to face Finland, who beat South Korea 8-1. Sebastian Aho had two goals and two assists while Teuvo Teravainen had a goal and three assists in the win.

The game will be on TSN 2 and RDS in Canada.

All games shown on TSN will be streamed on TSN Go in Canada, but it requires a subscription to TSN. NHL Network in the US will be showing games as well, but listings did not always confirm which games will be shown.
