When the series started off with two convincing wins for the Bruins, it seemed like one of the more intriguing matchups of the Stanley Cup Playoffs was going to be a dud in what was shaping up to be a disappointing first round. But a shift back to their home court, allowing the Maple Leafs to employ Tomas Plekanec in the role he was brought in to play, limited the offence of Boston’s powerhouse top line, and let Toronto gain a foothold.

Another Bruins win in Game Four put the Leafs on the brink, but they’ve responded with two consecutive wins; the first an improbable victory in the building they’d been blown out in earlier, the latest an emotional contest after a deadly attack in the city just hours before the drop of the puck.

Now, what had been a seven-game series pits two 100-plus-point teams against each other in a single 60-minute contest to determine who gets to play in the second round.
