Swift Current Broncos vs. Hamilton Bulldogs

The Bulldogs saw the Regina Pats claim the first game of the Memorial Cup with a last-minute goal. The Broncos were a bit more fortunate, getting their game to overtime before falling to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in overtime to at least salvage a point from Game 2.
That means Will Bitten’s OHL championship squad is the only team without a point, and currently sits last in the round-robin standings, facing the prospect of being the final seed for the playoff round. Hamilton had a great run through the Ontario league, losing just five times on their way to the J. Ross Robertson Cup, and have it in them to pull themselves up to a better position.
For Swift Current, their top regular- and post-season scorers, Glenn Gawdin and Aleksi Heponiemi, not only combined for no points in their 4-3 overtime loss versus the Titan, but were -4 and -3, respectively; on for all or most of the goals against and none of the ones the Broncos scored. You can expect them to have more of an impact in tonight’s contest.
