Here’s all the information you need for the actual All-Star Game, taking place on Sunday, January 31st.
Even though these events are kind of looked upon as a joke, not serious, meaning very little, sometimes meaning can take form in ways we would never expect. The NHL trying to push John Scott out of their All-Star festivities sparked a response of support, respect, and admiration from his fellow players that has overshadowed the objectionable actions taken against Scott by the league.
The NHL 2016 All-Star on-ice events kick off at 7 P.M. ET. Players arrived yesterday and met the media. P.K. Subban’s Twitter account is probably worth following today, as he’s already posted a couple of selfies with other players, and will definitely be posting more pictures throughout the event.
The skills competition will feature five events and a shootout. All of the events are self-explanatory, except for the Skills Challenge Relay, which pretty much puts every skill in hockey imaginable on display in the form of a timed relay race.
Unlike tomorrow’s tournament, the skills competition is split into two Conference squads.

Fastest Skater

This challenge includes fourteen players and two goalies a side. Braden Holtby will man the net for the East, while Pekka Rinne will man the net for West. This event will also have a goalie goals section, with Ben Bishop taking the shots for the East and Devan Dubnyk for the West.

Shootout
Both teams will ice eighteen skaters and three goaltenders. This is the grand finale of the event, with one point for every goal scored, and two points for every goal scored with a puck adorned with a Discover Card add. P.K Subban will shoot in the first round of three, while John Scott will have his chance at shootout glory in the third and final round.
