For the first time since 1978, the World Junior Hockey Championships are coming back to Montreal. As most people already know, the tournament will take place this winter between Montreal and Toronto, with Montreal’s Bell Centre hosting the preliminary round for Group A, which includes Team Canada, while Toronto’s Air Canada Centre will host the medal round.
Here is the schedule for Team Canada’s preliminary round:
Date | Time | Home Team | Away team | Location |
December 26th, 2014 | 8:00pm | Canada | Slovakia | Bell Centre (Montreal, QC) |
December 27th, 2014 | 8:00pm | Canada | Germany | Bell Centre (Montreal, QC) |
December 29th, 2014 | 8:00pm | Canada | Finland | Bell Centre (Montreal, QC) |
December 31st, 2014 | 4:00pm | Canada | United States | Bell Centre (Montreal, QC) |
*All times in Eastern Standard Time
Obviously Canada isn’t the home team in all these games, but that’s how they were listed on the press release from the Canadiens. Canadiens prospects Martin Reway and Artturi Lehkonen are all but guaranteed to play for Slovakia and Finland respectively, which could give Habs fans a good glimpse of them in top competition for their age group.
