Video has surfaced of the hit on Blake Geoffrion that resulted in him being rushed to hospital for surgery after a depressed skull fracture.
The hit was clean on the part of Jean-Philippe Cote, so hopefully fans remain calm on that front. This injury is a sobering reminder that even when played within the rules, hockey can be a dangerous game full of accidents.
