2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Game 2: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Boston Bruins

BOS leads 1-0

It appears that William Nylander is going to miss another game for Toronto, and that’s bad news for the Maple Leafs. They are without a doubt the second-best defensive team in this matchup, and without Nylander’s consistent post-season play, their offence isn’t better by enough to compensate. The Bruins will look to control the front of the net like they did in Game 1 and dare the Leafs to match their output.

Game 2: New York Islanders @ Carolina Hurricanes

CAR leads 1-0

How to watch

Start time: 7:30 PM EDT / 4:30 PM PDT

New York couldn’t capitalize on being the better team in the second period of Game 1, and that came back to bite them when the Hurricanes broke a tie with two goals in the third period. Mathew Barzal was held off the scoresheet for a rare time this season despite putting five shots on net, and Carolina probably won’t see that happen twice in a row.

Game 1: Vegas Golden Knights @ Dallas Stars

How to watch

Start time: 9:30 PM EDT / 6:30 PM PDT

The Dallas Stars fought all season long to claim the top spot in the Western Conference. Their reward for doing so is facing the defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights, who get Mark Stone back in the lineup just in time for the opening game.

Game 1: Los Angeles Kings @ Edmonton Oilers

How to watch

Start time: 10:00 PM EDT / 7:00 PM PDT
In Canada: CBC, Sportsnet (English) TVA Sports 2 (French)
In the U.S.: ESPN2
Streaming: CBC Gem, ESPN+, Sportsnet+

With a few additions and better overall play, the Edmonton Oilers enter the 2024 post-season a more well-rounded club. As ever, the questions surround their goaltending, so it’s an important game for Stuart Skinner to show his teammates he’s ready to take them on a long playoff run.
