- Lars Eller is often called out for his lack of offensive production, but is it justified? With just 8 goals and 15 points in 44 games this season, it’s easy to criticize him. However, Olivier Bouchard argues that the role Michel Therrien has Eller playing isn’t conducive to point production and that he is exactly where we should expect him to be. [La Presse]

- Surprisingly, Carey Price wasn’t named a Star of the Month. There’s no doubt that Alex Ovechkin was deserving of the First Star, while John Tavares warranted a star as well. However, Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask was named Third Star. His numbers were definitely impressive, sporting a 7-1-3 record, 1.61 goals against average and a .949 save percentage. - Even as a fan of the Canadiens, it’s tough not to feel bad for Toronto Maple Leafs fans right now. Things continue to go from bad to worse for the struggling Leafs. In fact, this might be as bad as it’s ever been. The team recorded just one victory in January. [Sportsnet]
