Former Montreal Canadiens Head Coach, and current Québec Senator, Jacques Demers suffered a stroke on Wednesday night, and remains hospitalized in stable condition.
The staff at Habs Eyes on the Prize would like to add their voice to the outpouring of support and well-wishes for Sen. Demers in wishing for a speedy recovery.

Jacques Demers won the Stanley Cup in 1993, in his first season as head coach of the Canadiens. He coached for another two seasons, and was fired five games into the 1995-96 season, replaced by Mario Tremblay.
In 2009 he was nominated to the Canadian Senate by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Coincidentally, RDS had just completed a documentary on Sen. Demers called “Coach: La vie de Jacques Demers” which is due to air on Monday.
