Did you really think things were going to get better for the Habs in the second? You didn’t really think they’d handle the Sabres convincingly did you? Shake your head. The Habs should have had a breakout period, but shoulda coulda woulda. Nobody informed the Sabres they were supposed to just roll over for the Habs.

Eric Tangradi makes a case for himself and against his demotion by engaging in a brief bout of pugilism with Patrick Kaleta. Like most things relating to this game and Eric Tangradi – it was underwhelming. Tangradi should have watched how a vet like Prust gets turfed from a game and taken notes.

Bryan Allen is seeing far more ice than I had hoped. Why is Therrien never afraid to bench young d for mistakes, but turns a blind eye to miscues by veterans?

The Sabres are getting solid efforts from Matt Moulson and Buffalo’s Brendan Gallagher, Tyler Ennis.
