2019 Montreal Canadiens first-round pick Cole Caufield will make his much anticipated debut tonight against the Toronto Marlies. Caufield will play on a line with Jordan Weal and Yannick Veilleux, and is expected to get power play time as well.
Jan Myšàk skated with the team Friday morning as he tries to return from injury, but will not play on Friday. Jacob Leguerrier will play his second career professional game on defence.
Charlie Lindgren will get the start on Friday with Vasili Demchenko starting on Saturday.
Laval is 1-1 against the Marlies this season, but Toronto will have a very different lineup than the last team the teams met as Alex Galchenyuk and Alexander Barabanov are currently in the NHL.
Corey Schueneman and Josh Brook are expected to be the team’s top pairing on Friday.
Alex Belzile, Jesse Ylönen, Brandon Baddock, Lukas Vejdemo, and Cale Fleury are all injured and did not make the trip to Toronto.
