PuckDrop Podcast with former Montreal Canadien and Arizona Coyote Kyle Chipchura

In an interesting turn of events, Kyle Chipchura ended up in Central Europe playing in the KHL this season. Having read the signs from the Arizona Coyotes’ management team, he knew what was coming and decided to try elsewhere. Slovan Bratislava took him up on the fly.

With 23 points, Chipchura places third among all skaters in points for Slovan. He has been an integral part of the team’s recent climb up the standings. It has been a challenge to play in Europe and it is something that Kyle himself thinks has made it more interesting and fun.

Chipchura also speaks about getting drafted in the first round by the Montreal Canadiens, and the expectations and the pressure coming with being part of the most storied franchise in hockey.

A move to Europe has been a perk in many ways, most notably exploring Central Europe and enjoying Champions League (the football tournament). It’s been an interesting hockey life that has taken a whole new direction in the last year.

There are a few more things that Kyle speaks about, which you can hear about in the latest PuckDrop Podcast!
